Born in Southern California, Ashley had a talent for the artistic side of things at a very young age. She began her exposure to the salon atmosphere when she was 16 where she got a job as the receptionist at Isaak's Salon while going to Esperanza High School. She graduated in 1999 and decided to branch out and try San Diego on for size. She went to San Diego Mesa College studying her general studies which wasn't really appealing to her. After two years in San Diego, she decided to come back to her hometown of Orange County and get her Graphic Design Degree at Platt College in Newport Beach. While going to school she worked part time back at Isaak's Salon, this time promoted to Front Desk Manager. She finished school at Platt and began to work full time at Isaak's while she figured out what her next step was in the working world. Something kept her at Isaak's and she just couldn't seem to leave. When it came down to it, Ashley felt she was destined to become a hairdresser. So she embarked on the next part of her life and went to Cosmetology school at Fullerton College. Going to school at Fullerton College conveniently allowed her to work in the evenings after her long days at school. On March 15, 2006, Ashley graduated from Fullerton College with her Cosmetology License, shortly after graduation she took her state exams and passed. She has been doing hair ever since continuing to work at Isaak's Salon, which was her inspiration for her career in hair from the beginning.

Ashley has been voted in the Top 5 for Best Hair Color two years in a row now on MyFoxLa's Hotlist, currently holding 2nd place for 2010!
